Russia has lost 300,000 soldiers, three aircraft carriers, and thousands of tanks in Ukraine — Stoltenberg

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost a significant part of its conventional armed forces — hundreds of aircraft, thousands of tanks, and more than 300,000 soldiers.

This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on November 29 during a press conference in Brussels after the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.

"Militarily, Russia has lost a significant part of its conventional armed forces — hundreds of aircraft, thousands of tanks, and more than 300,000 soldiers," the NATO head emphasized.

We will remind that on November 29, the first meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers of the Alliance members took place in Brussels, Belgium.

As you know, Ukraine was represented at the meeting by Dmytro Kuleba. He thanked Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for recognizing Ukraine's achievements on the battlefield.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that one of the key topics in cooperation with the Alliance is the unification of defense industries and increased arms production.

As reported, the "ambitious" work program for the next year was approved at the meeting. It includes energy security, innovation, and interaction.

The Secretary General also emphasized that the North Atlantic bloc is currently transforming NATO's comprehensive aid package into a multi-year aid program. It will help Ukraine:

• to move from Soviet-era weapons to NATO equipment and standards,
• and "will ensure full operational interoperability of their armed forces with ours."

We will remind, according to the words of Stoltenberg, that Ukraine needs to prepare for increased hostilities and air attacks by the Russian Federation.
