Russia to increase drone usage over missiles in winter season – Ukraine's Air Force
The Russian occupiers will probably begin to use drones much more actively for strikes on Ukraine than missiles.
The speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, Yuriy Ihnat, stated this in an interview with "Novynarna."
Ihnat was being asked to share his thoughts on the possibility of another round of extensive rocket attacks, similar to what occurred last year when the invaders launched nearly one hundred airstrikes in a single night, and what people should anticipate in general.
"On the greater intensity of drone attacks. In my opinion, Russia will now use drones many times more than missiles," Ihnat answered.
He made it clear that we are discussing Shahed drones, as well as FPV drones and "Lancet" drones on the front lines.
The spokesman of the Air Force reminded that, according to the information of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Russians are stockpiling missiles, so there may be missile strikes, but it is not known in what quantity they will be launched.

As Rubryka previously reported, increasing the production of attack and reconnaissance UAVs is vital for Ukraine. Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesperson of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, stated this on the air of the national telethon "Edyni Novyni." According to the spokesman, all UAVs are needed to wear down the Russian air defense system and to strike at the objects of Russia's critical infrastructure.
The Ukrainian market for the production of drones is actively developing; more than 100 companies manufacture drones in the country.
Today, the Ukrainian army already has dozens of drones of domestic production. We are talking not only about unmanned aerial vehicles but also about surface drones.
Ukraine has also established serial production of the domestic analog of Shahed drones.
Additionally, Rubryka announced that the speed of drone transfers from suppliers to units of Ukraine's armed forces has reached a record high. This can be completed in a few days thanks to significantly reducing bureaucratic processes.
