Russian authorities create new lists to deport children in occupied territories – National Resistance Center

The Russian occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied territories were ordered to create new lists of children without accompanying adults to deport them.

The Center of National Resistance reported this.

"The occupiers do not return the children to Ukraine, even if their relatives are in the free territory, and simplify the process of adopting these children on the territory of the Russian Federation. The goal of this is the assimilation of Ukrainian children, that is, the destruction of an entire generation of the nation," the report says.

The message states that the primary responsibility for these actions is the dictator of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and his subordinate, Maria Lvova-Belova, the representative of the President of the Russian Federation for children's rights. It was on their instructions that tens of thousands of Ukrainian children were illegally deported from the territory of Ukraine.

It should be noted that, as Rubryka previously reported, Qatar is negotiating with the Russian Federation regarding the return to Ukraine of Ukrainian children kidnapped during the war. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Qatar, Jassim al-Thani, in an interview with CBS News. Answering the journalist's question of whether there is hope to bring home more Ukrainian children shortly, Al Thani replied that efforts are ongoing. For this purpose, Qatar is using the communication channels and relations it has with Russia.

According to the official data of the Ukrainian authorities, since February 24, 2022, 19,546 children have been deported from Ukraine to Russia.

So far, 386 children have been returned to Ukraine.

In addition, Serhii Kyslytsia, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, stated at the UN Security Council that Russia's invasion of Ukraine affected all 7.5 million Ukrainian children.

Currently, there are about 11,000 Ukrainian children in Russian "re-education camps."

It should be noted that after the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for the arrest of the Russian ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian authorities changed their tactics of deporting Ukrainian children.
