Russian troops with aviation support try to surround Avdiivka, Ukraine's defense forces repell 23 attacks — General Staff

On November 25, in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers firmly held the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy forces and repelling 23 attacks.

Successes of the Ukrainian military
As reported in the military command, during the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces performed 11 airstrikes on areas of concentration of the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
In turn, units of the missile forces struck:
- 11 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment,
- 4 artillery pieces,
- control point,
- the enemy's ammunition depot.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continued to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy forces and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Also, in the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers will continue to maintain occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, continue counter-battery combat and inflict fire damage on the enemy's rear.
Attacks of the Russian army
In total, the enemy launched four rocket and 109 air strikes and carried out 59 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
"Also, yesterday, the Russians carried out an air strike on Ukraine, using 87 Shahed-136/131 type attack UAVs. All enemy drones were destroyed," the General Staff said.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In addition, this very day, the enemy again attacked Ukraine with attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Information about the consequences is currently being clarified.
Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions were hit by airstrikes.
More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
The situation on the front lines
During the past day, 58 combat clashes took place.
- In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted assault operations near Synkivka and Ivanivka of the Kharkiv region, where the defense forces repelled four attacks.
- The occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Lyman direction.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten enemy attacks near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, the Donetsk region. The defense forces of Ukraine continue their assault south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflict casualties on the invaders in terms of manpower and equipment, and establish themselves at the acquired borders.
- In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, does not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers. The offensive actions of the enemy in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and south of Novokalynove of the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. Here, Ukrainian defenders repelled 23 attacks.
- In the Maryinka direction, the enemy carried out assaults in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region, where the defense forces repulsed nine attacks.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults south of Zolota Nyva and east of Staromayorske, the Donetsk region.
- In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried eight times to restore the lost position near Robotyne, the Zaporizhzhia region.
We will remind that on the night of November 26, Russia once again launched attack drones in several regions of the country: Ukrainian air defense destroyed eight out of nine kamikaze drones.
In addition, this night also saw a massive attack by drones in the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, and Bryansk regions: one of the drones hit a high-rise building in Tula and damaged buildings in Moscow.
