Lithuania has sent €1 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of full-scale war

Lithuania has demonstrated strong solidarity and support for Ukrainians in their struggle for freedom and independence against Russian aggressors, Rubryka reports, citing the government portal.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, which took place on November 24, the Head of the Ukrainian Government, Denys Shmyhal, expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian Government and people for their assistance.

"Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Lithuania has provided assistance to Ukraine exceeding €1 billion. In recent months, we have also received armored vehicles, ammunition, radar equipment, and maritime radars. In November, Lithuania handed over two launchers for the NASAMS air defense system. They are already on combat duty," noted Denys Shmyhal.

The Ukrainian prime minister expressed appreciation for Lithuania's positive consideration of the request to provide Ukrainian forces with Lithuanian-made electronic warfare (EW) equipment to counter Russian drones.

In turn, Lithuania is laying the foundation for long-term military support to Ukraine. Ingrida Šimonytė stated that her country plans to approve a three-year plan of military and other assistance to Ukraine, including medical treatment and rehabilitation, military training, humanitarian and military demining, and the repair of military equipment.

As Rubryka earlier reported, the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, arrived in Kyiv for a working visit on Friday.
