Russian troops attack Chornobaivka near Kherson with cluster shells: three killed, five wounded

On Thursday, November 23, the Russian army launched a large-scale shelling of Chornobaivka in the Kherson region. 

The authorities so far recorded three civilian deaths, Rubryka reports, citing the Telegram channels of the Head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

"The Russians shelled Chornobaivka in the Kherson region. Initial information suggests that the shelling was conducted with cluster munitions," said Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Presidential Office. According to Yermak, three were killed, and four were injured.

Later, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, clarified the number of injuries to be five. "Three fatalities. Five people sustained injuries of varying severity," he said on Telegram.

According to Klymenko, more than 60 residential buildings and outbuildings have been damaged.

Also today, in the Kherson region, Russians killed a 70-year-old cyclist with a drone. "The Russian army killed an elderly resident of Berislav," said the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

As Prokudin reported, around 11:30, occupants attacked a cyclist from a drone on the street. The 70-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life.

According to the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, the Russian military also conducted a mass shelling of settlements in the Kherson district. In one of the villages they attacked, two civilians — a man and a woman — lost their lives; five others suffered injuries.

"A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into criminal proceedings regarding violations of laws and customs of war," the statement said.

According to the investigation, on November 23, around 11:30, the Russian military once again shelled the city of Berislav. Currently, five more civilians suffered injuries of varying severity. The data is being clarified. Residential buildings and outbuildings have been damaged.

Chornobaivka shelling

After liberation from Russian occupiers, Chornobaivka is constantly shelled together with Kherson, Berislav, and other settlements on the right bank of the Kherson region.

The Russian army shelled Chornobaivka in the Kherson region on October 12. One person lost their life.

During the battles for Kherson in the fall of 2022, the Ukrainian military consistently targeted occupiers in Chornobaivka, devastating not only equipment but also the living forces of Russians.

It reached a point where the occupiers began to panic at the mere mention of Chornobaivka. They massively refused to advance in this direction.
