Ukrainian activists initiate Women Power Forum to discuss women's mental and physical health during war

On December 2, the Pochayna Event Hall in Kyiv will host the Women Power Forum.

This event focuses on women's health, beauty, and self-development, aiming to restore mental, physical, and spiritual balance, Rubryka reports.

All speakers are experts in their fields, including Natalia Leliuk, a gynecologist and volunteer; Anton Semenov, a renowned psychotherapist specializing in life crises; Volodymyr Naumenko, an international psychologist and TV show consultant; Vladlena Averina, a dermatologist and cosmetologist; Ksenia Voznitsina, a neurologist and leader in rehabilitating veterans' mental health, among others.

The challenges women face today require them to be strong, successful, productive, and independent while maintaining good health and balance. However, the constant stress of war accumulates fears and pain, leading to health issues and hormonal imbalances, making women vulnerable. According to the organizers, the Women Power Forum aims to showcase and discuss various factors affecting women's health. It also seeks to provide effective tools to combat stress, applicable even at home.

The impact of war has affected all aspects of life, including self-realization, motherhood, work, business, and relationships. Unfortunately, health is no exception. Daily stress has led to an increase in panic attacks, anxiety, and depressive disorders among women, impacting overall quality of life. The forum aims to address these issues and offer solutions to restore emotional balance and well-being.

"War is an overpowering and prolonged stress that can disrupt many vital functions in a woman's body, creating health problems. It affects the desire and ability to become a mother, have relationships, and increases the risk of serious diseases such as diabetes and osteoporosis," says Natalia Leliuk, a leading forum speaker and obstetrician-gynecologist.

The forum will cover topics such as physical health and its deterioration due to war, mental health challenges during wartime, the physiology and psychology of sex, the impact of chronic stress on beauty and appearance, and the connection between nutrition and health indicators.

Speakers include experts like Viktor Mandziak, a nutritionist and fitness trainer; Yulia Damochkina, a psychologist and sexologist; Vladlena Averina, a dermatologist and cosmetologist; Volodymyr Naumenko, an international psychologist; Anton Semenov, a psychotherapist; Ksenia Voznitsina, a neurologist, among others.

The Women Power Forum will also feature interactive activities, special offers, and a raffle with valuable prizes from partners. Childcare services will be available for women attending with their children.
