Ukrainian forces counterattack near Avdiivka, advancing in northwest of the city

Ukrainian forces have counterattacked on the Avdiivka front, making progress near the railway to the southeast of the nearby village of Stepove.

Ukrainian troops have also advanced in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region near Novoprokopivka, Rubryka reports, citing information from the Institute for the Study of War.

Situation in Kharkiv and Luhansk regions

As of November 19, Russian forces continued their offensive along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line but made no confirmed advances. The Ukrainian General Staff reported unsuccessful Russian attacks on the Kupiansk front near Synkivka, Ivanivka, east of Petropavlivka, and on the Lymanske front near Torske.

The North Ossetian volunteer battalions "Alania" and "Storm Ossetia" claimed that intense battles took place on the Kupiansk front. Ukrainian military observer Kostiantyn Mashovets stated that Russian units of the 164th Separate Motorized Brigade unsuccessfully attacked near Dibrova, 7 km southwest of Kreminna.

Mashovets added that Russian forces were redeploying parts of the Russian 7th Motorized Regiment and 11th Tank Regiment in preparation for renewed offensive actions on the Kupiansk front.

Clashes in Donetsk region

Russian troops conducted offensive operations near Bakhmut but achieved no confirmed advancements on November 19. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked near Klishchiivka and Andriivka.

Geolocation footage from November 19 showed Ukrainian forces attacking and progressing south of Shumy, 23 km south of Bakhmut.

Russian "war correspondents" claimed that Ukrainian forces repelled positions near the railway near Stepove and launched a counterattack near the Avdiivka coke chemical plant.

Russian forces conducted offensive operations near Avdiivka but achieved no confirmed successes. Russian bloggers claimed on November 18 and 19 that Russian forces had allegedly advanced near the industrial zone, Avdiivka coke chemical plant, and the railway.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked south of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, near Siverske and Avdiivka.

Russian sources claimed that Russian forces attacked near Pervomaiske and Siverske, west of Krasnohorivka, south of the spoil bank northwest of Avdiivka, east of the coke chemical plant and industrial zone southeast of the city.

Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Tavria task force, stated on November 19 that the number of Russian deserters and personnel refusing to carry out offensive actions is increasing. This forces the Russian command to use physical force and barrier units to push Russian forces into battle.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Ukrainian forces attacked west of Donetsk near Mariinka on November 19.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked near Mariinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka.

 

Southern axis

Russian forces continued offensive actions near the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia border but did not make progress on November 19. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian ground attacks near Staryi Mohyliv.

Ukrainian forces continued offensive operations in the western Zaporizhzhia region and reportedly made progress on November 19. Russian "war correspondents" claimed that Ukrainian forces slightly advanced near Novoprokopivka and Rihne, 8 km west of Robotyne.

Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces also attacked near Robotyne, Verbove, and Kopani. Russian bloggers asserted that poor weather conditions and visibility were hindering offensive operations in the western Zaporizhzhia region.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces unsuccessfully stormed positions near Robotyne, Novoprokopivka, and west of Verbove on November 19.

 

On November 19, Ukrainian forces continued military operations on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that Ukrainian forces maintained positions on the eastern bank.

Russian bloggers claimed that Ukrainian forces attacked near Poima and Pisky, while Russian forces allegedly counterattacked in Krynky.

Russian "war correspondents" asserted that Ukrainian forces were using modified drones named "Baba Yaga" to target Russian thermobaric artillery systems TOS on the eastern bank, emphasizing the vulnerability of the Russian air defense in that area.
