Explosions rock Russian-occupied Melitopol

In Melitopol, which was temporarily captured, loud sounds resembling explosions were heard on the evening of Sunday, November 19.

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov reported this on Telegram.

"Just an explosion in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. Details later," Fedorov wrote.

It is worth noting that in recent days, the sounds of explosions can often be heard in the occupied Melitopol. At the same time, the occupation authorities do not comment on the situation in the city.

For reference:

Recently, the Russian occupiers have intensified their search for partisans in the occupied city, which the Russian Federation captured in the first days of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Thus, the invaders started hanging video cameras around the city and also continued to kidnap civilians in search of "terrorists" and partisans. In addition, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation recently brought detachments of professional spies to Melitopol. They will help in "hunting" for patriots and partisans.

It should be noted that Russian troops occupied the territories along the coast of the Sea of Azov in the first months of the full-scale invasion. The cities of Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Tokmak became the main points of the Russians.

It is worth noting that explosions have become more frequent in occupied Melitopol recently. As the locals note, the occupiers became restless outside the city, as had weapons that could reach them.

However, the occupiers continue to shell the Zaporizhzhia region on a daily basis. Thus, on November 15, they hit the Zaporizhzhia district with rockets. Civilian infrastructure was attacked.

In addition, in the Zaporizhzhia region, rescuers came under fire when they came to put out a fire. Two soldiers of the State Emergency Service were killed, three more were wounded.
