Russian assault units suffer major casualties, only 10-15% remain – Ukrainian army's spokesperson
Russian assault units on the Tavria front are experiencing significant losses.
Oleksandr Shtupun, a spokesman for the Defense Forces of the Tavria front, reported this, according to Armyinform.
According to Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the Tavria front, the enemy has decreased the frequency of airstrikes and resumed pushing their infantry forward. There were some minor instances of equipment usage in the past two days. Shtupun also mentioned on the telethon "Yedyni novyny" that the occupiers might attempt to use it again.
He added that the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to advance near Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and south of Tonenke.
"Ukrainian soldiers repelled 23 attacks. Storm and StormZ units, which the enemy throws first, suffer significant losses. Some of them have about 10-15 percent of the original number of personnel left. The Russian command is still making efforts to establish new similar units. Essentially, these are potential suicide attackers," Oleksandr Shtupun noted.
For reference:
In total, on the last day, November 17, the Defense Forces eliminated more than 600 invaders; thus, the total losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in human resources have already amounted to more than 317,300 soldiers.
As reported in the military command, marine units and other units of the Defense Forces will continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, where 12 enemy attacks were repelled the last day. Ukraine's defenders are entrenched on the occupied borders and inflict fire damage on the occupants.
Also, on the night of November 18, the Russian invaders struck the regions of the country with 38 attack drones: the air defense forces landed 29 enemy targets.
