Finland sends 20th military aid package to Ukraine, worth €100 mln
The Finnish government sent Ukraine another package of military assistance worth 100 million euros.
The defense ministry does not disclose details about the contents of the package for operational reasons and to ensure that assistance safely reaches its destination.
"What is at stake in Ukraine's defense struggle is the prospects for the security environment of Europe and Finland in the current decade. Together with our allies, we remain steadfast in our commitment to support Ukrainians, "said Defense Minister Antti Hakkänen.
Finland has already allocated 20 packages of military equipment to Ukraine.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the allies in his post on X.
Finish military assistance worth has amounted to 1.5 billion euros. This support strengthens Ukraine and the security of Finland and the rest of Europe.
"I appreciate the implementation of our agreements and Finland's principled position on the path to a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine and throughout Europe," Zelensky said.
Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio informed that since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, his country has provided Ukraine with assistance totaling 2.1 billion euros.
"Finland's total support to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression is 2.1 billion euros, of which 1.4 billion is for defense. Ukraine is Finland's largest development partner. We are determined to continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary, "said Tavio.
