Russian rocket strikes apartment building in Selydove: civilians trapped under rubble

On Wednesday night, November 15, the eastern town of Selidove in the Donetsk region witnessed a devastating Russian attack on a residential building.
The rocket strike caused the collapse of an entire section of the apartment building. The local authorities confirmed the death of one woman. Several residents sustained injuries. Rescue operations are underway, with efforts to locate at least one more person trapped under the rubble.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, stated that the attack occurred during the night in Selidove, in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region. The rocket strike destroyed a section of a four-story residential building, Rubryka reports.

"Unfortunately, the body of a deceased woman has been found under the rubble. There is a possibility that at least one more person remains trapped," said Klymenko.

The head of the ministry added that a wounded man and woman had been hospitalized. Rescuers also helped three people, including a child, to get out of the damaged apartment on the 4th floor. Rescue teams are actively engaged in operations, as mentioned by Klymenko.

Situation in Donetsk region
As reported by the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, the Russian army continues to inflict strikes on the region and seeks to capture the entire area since the beginning of the full-fledged invasion.
In the past 24 hours, two people were wounded in Avdiivka, and one was injured in Krasnohorivka of the Mariupol community.
The Russian forces shelled the Kurakhove community four times, damaging four private houses in Hostre, affecting the private sector and industrial zone in Kurakhove, and causing fire in Uspenivka, Veselyi Hai, and Hanyvka. A building in Selydove was also damaged.

On the Horlivka front, in the Toretsk community, the Russian troops shelled Pivdenne and Pivnichne, causing damage to one administrative building, two houses, and three infrastructure facilities.
In the Chasiv Yar community, two houses, two utility structures, and two industrial buildings were damaged. The Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka, and Minkivka areas were under fire.
On the Lysychansk front, in Siversk, a building, administrative building, and infrastructure facility were damaged. The Liman community faced seven bombardments. Throughout the day, three residents of Donetsk were injured by Russian forces.

As reported by Rubryka, according to the General Staff, the Russian forces persist in attempts to encircle Avdiivka, with Ukrainian forces repelling 17 attacks.
Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and advance in the Melitopol direction. Over the past day, more than 60 combat clashes occurred.
