United to win: Ukraine receives new military aid from Britain ahead of winter
Great Britain handed over to Ukraine's armed forces various clothes and equipment of the first necessity on winter's eve.
The British Ministry of Defense reported this.
Ukraine will receive:
- 82 thousand helmets;
- 25 thousand sets of winter clothes;
- 10 thousand sets of body armor;
- 70 thousand dry rations.
The British Ministry of Defense noted that the Ukrainian army will need this help in the winter months.
For reference:
Earlier, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said the country would provide Ukraine with more military aid and unite allies to give everything necessary to win the war.
Shapps also announced a new military aid package to Ukraine at the Ramstein meeting in early October. The package is estimated at 123 million dollars.
Recently, the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces reported that a real village in Britain was turned into a training ground for the Ukrainian military. This will allow you to gain experience in conducting combat operations in urban conditions.
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2022, Britain has trained more than 22,000 Ukrainian soldiers. They received military skills, studied trench warfare techniques, and medical training.
In addition, Great Britain and other partner countries will transfer additional air defense systems and demining equipment to Ukraine.
On November 13, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, David Cameron, was appointed the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom.
In addition, as part of Rishi Sunak's government reshuffle, ex-foreigner James Cleverley was appointed Home Secretary to replace Suella Braverman.
Braverman was sacked as home secretary after her high-profile op-ed in which she accused the London police of bias in favor of pro-Palestinian protests.
