Russian military conducts raids, uses Ukrainians as human shields in occupation – Melitopol's mayor
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, the invading Russians continue to pressurize and terrorize the population. In Tokmak, the occupiers conduct "house-to-house raids" and settle in high-rise buildings.
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, stated this.
For example, residents of the Berdiansk district report that invaders have settled in their houses. The enemy turned some villages of the Polohiv district into a reservation – only people registered there could enter or leave.
Fedorov also reported that the occupiers felt so safe in the "deep rear" that they increasingly fled from their positions.
"The deserters have no moral principles and are extremely dangerous for civilians. Armed fugitive soldiers commit robberies and attack people. They take the property, rape women, including minors," Fedorov said and called on the civilian population to stay as far away from the occupiers as possible.
Russian terrorists have long lost any human face and bring only grief to others.
For reference:
It should be noted that Russian troops occupied the territories along the coast of the Sea of Azov in the first months of the full-scale invasion. The cities of Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Tokmak became the main points of the Russians.
