United to win: Ukraine received seven Primoco ONE drones from Germany

The German government sent seven Czech-made Primoco ONE drones to the Ukrainian forces.

What is the problem?

Drones of various types play a major role in the war. Ukrainians are actively helping to purchase them and start fundraisers, as troops need thousands of drones to effectively fight Russian prevailing forces.

As the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported, Ukraine has increased the production and number of drones by over 100 times compared to last year.

This amount may not cover all requests, as drones are quickly utilized devices, so allying states are trying to help and provide certain vehicles with different modifications.

What is the solution?

Germany has handed over seven Czech-made Primoco ONE drones to the Ukrainian forces.

"Combined with a cruising speed of 100-150 km/h, this makes the Primoco drone one of the leaders in its segment," the developer said.

How does it work?

The drones are designed for tactical reconnaissance, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

The maximum takeoff weight of Primoco ONE is 150 kilograms, and the flight duration is up to 15 hours.

The drone can climb to an altitude of 3 kilometers and carry a payload of up to 30 kilograms.

The drone's payload comprises optical, infrared, and night cameras and encrypted communication systems. It can take off and land at any time of the day, even in adverse weather conditions.

The built-in autopilot system provides fully automated takeoff, landing, and autonomous flight plan execution.

Using a runway of 300 meters the drone has the ability to fly without the need to use airport services.

The German government added that the new package also includes AMPS protective systems for helicopters, 12 armored personnel carriers, two TRML-4D radars for the IRIS-T air defense system, and a PCB printer (3D).

Also, the batch has five surface drones, 10,000 safety goggles, and 32 terminals for satellite communications.

Four heavy-duty tractors, four semi-trailers, and 12 MAN TGS trucks were transferred for logistics purposes. The German government also promised to provide Ukraine with 25 Leopard 1 A5 tanks in the future.

Previously, the Rheinmetall defense company received another order from the German government to supply about 100,000 artillery mines for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian forces received Sonobot 5 surface drones from Germany, which help to inspect water bodies and detect ammunition and other explosive devices at the bottom.
