Local Telegram channels report this.
Strong explosions are heard in the occupied village of Siedovo, near the border with the Russian Federation on the shores of the Sea of Azov.
In the video from the locals, the secondary detonation is visible.
"Siedovo. Novoazovsky district. Almost the entire village was turned into an ammunition storage warehouse and a parking lot for military vehicles. The changes have taken place. Already. Beauty. It will be detonating for sure by the morning," said Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol.
He also added that even though currently, according to local data, only a third of the warehouse is now destroyed, but nothing can be saved there.
According to him, the occupiers turned almost the entire village into an ammunition warehouse and a parking lot for military vehicles.
The councilor of the mayor of Mariupol published a video of the explosions.
He also mentioned that Siedovo experienced a power outage.
For reference:
It should be noted that the Russian invaders were able to encircle Mariupol in the first days of the full-scale invasion. The fighting continued inside the city; several Ukrainian military units were there, including fighters from the "Azov" battalion.
During the attacks on the city, the Russians repeatedly attacked civilians, conducting chaotic fire. In particular, they dropped aerial bombs on the drama theater, where a large number of Mariupol residents were hiding.
Already in mid-May, the occupiers managed to take Mariupol completely under their control.
Previously, Russia sent approximately 5,000 fresh reserves to the temporarily occupied areas of Mariupol and its surrounding region. The key distinction this time is that they have two guns displayed on their chevrons. According to Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, the last instance of new reserves being introduced in Mariupol was in April 2023.
As Rubryka reported, the Russian invaders probably felt a lack of human resources on the front line, so they withdrew trucks with military personnel from the temporarily captured Mariupol. At the same time, an unusual trend was noticed.
The adviser of the Mariupol mayor, Petro Andriushchenko, said that the Russian occupiers have started the construction of a direct railway connection with the occupied Mariupol, Volnovakha, and Donetsk: they are already building a bridge over the Kalmius River.
In addition, it was reported that the Russian occupiers were withdrawing the "dragon's teeth" from the temporarily occupied Mariupol to the Berdiansk front.
