Russian shelling of Kherson injures three civilians
This afternoon, November 3, the Russian army launched another shelling of the city of Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank of the region. As a result, three civilians were injured.
The head of the city military administration, Roman Mrochko, reported.
He mentioned that the strike happened after 2:00 p.m. The occupiers bombarded the city with artillery.
As a result of the attack in the downtown area, three people were injured.
They were taken to the hospital with injuries of varying severity. The information is being clarified, Mrochko added.
The regional prosecutor's office started a pre-trial investigation on violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors are currently documenting war crimes committed by the Russian army.
Before that, Mrochko reported that due to the recent shelling of Kherson, electricity and water were partially missing in the Dnipro district of the city.
Repair crews are working in an intensified mode. The power supply is promised to be restored within a day.
The situation in the Kherson region
According to the regional military administration, during the past day, the Russians carried out 108 shellings of the Kherson region, firing 602 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad MLRS, tanks, drones, and aviation.
Seventy-one shells were fired in the city of Kherson.
"Over the past day, the enemy carried out 108 shellings, firing 602 shells from mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, UAVs, and aircraft," said the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to Prokudin, 13 KAB-guided bomb strikes on populated areas were recorded. The hits were in the Beryslav and Kherson districts.
As the head of the regional military administration noted, the Russian military targeted the residential quarters of settlements, the territory of an educational institution and an enterprise in the Beryslav district, a plant in Kherson.
As the police informed, the enemy conducted airstrikes in Respublikanets, Novokairy, Prydniprovsky, Chervony Mayak, Monastyrsky, and Tiahyntsi. The explosions from guided bombs caused damage to five residential buildings in Respublikanets, as well as administrative and farm buildings of an agricultural company, and injured a 54-year-old man in Novokairy.
In Beryslav, the invaders dropped explosives from a drone on a police car – the car had mechanical damage, but the workers were not injured. In 40 minutes, the occupiers again dropped ammunition from a drone on a residential block, wounding a 44-year-old man and damaging a car. Also, the body of a man with a head injury from debris was found on the street. A 72-year-old resident is believed to have died on November 1 during an airstrike.
"The enemy covered Vesele in the Kakhovsky district with mass artillery fire. One of the shells hit a private house and killed a 60-year-old man. Community property was also damaged: a gasoline generator and large water storage tanks," the police informs.
The Russian army shelled Urozhaine from multiple rocket launchers, seriously wounding two local women aged 49 and 54.
In Kherson, the coastal areas, the center, Korabel microdistricts, the Kherson cotton plant, and the suburbs were under fire. Critical infrastructure objects, high-rise and private buildings, where facades and roofs were cut, and windows were broken, were damaged. In some areas, there were problems with electricity supply.
As a result of Russian aggression, one person died, and four more were injured, Prokudin added.
For reference:
That night, the Russians unleashed about 40 kamikaze drones over Ukraine. The drones were launched from the Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions. In addition, the occupying forces fired a Kh-59 guided missile from the occupied area of the Kherson region.
Shahed UAVs were launched in multiple waves, dispersing in small groups and heading in various directions. An air alert was announced in most regions, and air defense measures were implemented.
Air defense forces destroyed 24 Shahed drones and an air missile.
The occupiers' nighttime attack hit Kharkiv the hardest. The prosecutor's office reported that ten drones were used in the attack, while local authorities stated that four Shahed UAVs were involved.
