The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 500 million euros, including ammunition, according to Het Parool.

The Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren has promised to allocate the aid after visiting Kharkiv and Kyiv.

Ukrainians, whether on the contact line, in the city, or in the government, are still as combative as they were at the beginning of the full-scale war.

The Minister noted that the aid will be disbursed by mid-next year, and the total package will amount to about €500 million. Of this amount €260 million will be spent on artillery shells, and
€240 million will be spent on ammunition for tanks.

The Netherlands will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine "as long as necessary," Ollongren assured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Dutch Defense Minister Kaysa Ollongren on November 2. He thanked Dutch allies for her great attention to Ukraine and her repeated visits.

The Netherlands has been with us since the first days of Russian aggression. We appreciate that we have such powerful partners and true friends, the President noted.

The Head of State praised the fruitful dialogue with Prime Minister Mark Rutte, particularly the results of the phone conversation on October 30.

We are grateful to the Netherlands for important decisions in support of Ukraine made at important times. These decisions became a signal to other partners – as it was with the Patriot and F-16. This is a significant support for our army, for our people, Zelensky emphasized.

In early October, the Netherlands allocated more than €100 million to help Ukraine prepare for the winter.
