The attack resulted in destruction and two casualties, Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
"In the morning, Russian terrorists attacked Odesa district with rockets. The enemy's target was a ship repair plant," Kiper said.
The attack caused a fire, which rescuers quickly extinguished. The administrative building and equipment of the enterprise were damaged.
Two people were injured — a man and a woman were taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
"They are being provided with all the necessary medical assistance," said the head of the region.
As Rubryka reported, explosions rang out in Odesa this morning. After that, the air raid warning was immediately activated due to the threat of the Russian forces using ballistic missiles.
Yurii Ihnat, the spokesperson for the Air Force, commented on the Russian strike in the morning on the air of the national marathon. According to him, Russia could use "ballistics" to attack the region.
"A ballistic missile, if it is launched from the territory of Crimea, let's say, flies for a fairly short time. On Monday night, October 30, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian with 12 Shahed drones and two Kh-59 guided air missiles. Defenders from the East air command downed two missiles in the sky over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Air Defense Forces were also activated in the Khmelnytsky region — there were no casualties or damage.
"All 14 Russian air targets were destroyed by air defense within Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Dnipropetrovsk regions," the Air Force reported.
