Over 26,000 Ukrainians took part in the National Media Literacy Test

On October 25, Ukrainian citizens took part in the Global Media Literacy Week, holding the National Media Literacy Test.

National Media Literacy Project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture together with USAID, IREX and UNDP were the event's organizers.

This year, 26,194 Ukrainians joined the event and almost 14 thousand – passed it completely. According to the test results, 6% are real gurus of media literacy. 34% are almost gurus, 53% are beginners, 7% are complete novices, the report says.

The winners will be announced on November 1 on social media and on the Filter website. 150 participants who have the largest number of correct answers will receive a gift box from UNDP partners in Ukraine.

The National Media Literacy Test is organized by the national media literacy project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture, which is supported by UNDP and funded by the Government of Japan, together with the USAID Dream and Act program, implemented by IREX, and the project "Learn and Distinguish: Information and Media Literacy in Education, with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
