Russian rocket strikes fire station in Ukraine's northern city of Izium, injuring eight rescuers

Russian troops once again attacked the northern Kharkiv region on Friday night, October 27.
The occupiers attacked the fire department in the city of Izium, Rubryka reports, citing the statement of Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
"Today, the fire service of the region marks its 200-year birthday. Russia 'congratulated' firefighters in its own style, launching a rocket attack on the building of the fire station in the city of Izium," Klymenko said.

The attack injured eight rescuers. Four of them were hospitalized and provided with the necessary medical assistance.
The building itself and 13 units of firefighting equipment were also damaged.
Oleh Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said the Russians previously struck the building of the fire and rescue unit of the State Emergency Service with the S-300 air defense system.

Rubryka previously reported that the Russian forces launched another drone attack on the southern regions of Ukraine on Friday night. Air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed aerial targets, but some drones reached their targets.
