Russian drones attack critical infrastructure in Khmelnytskyi: 16 civilians injured

On Wednesday night, October 25, the Russian forces attacked several regions with drones.

16 people were injured in the Russian attack as the Shahed drone wreckage fell on the territory of a critical infrastructure facility in the Khmelnytskyi region, Rubryka reports, referring to the Khmelnytskyi authorities.

"The downed enemy air targets fell on the territory of a critical infrastructure facility in the Shepetiv district," said Sehii Tiurin, the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration. "The blast wave damaged non-residential premises, residential buildings, and vehicles." 

Tiurin added that 16 residents from nearby houses with various injuries sought medical help at the hospital. All relevant services are working on the spot, he said.

The head of the region also reported that debris fell in the Khmelnytskyi district, but the downed targets did not cause any damage. According to him, the Russian forces attacked Khmelnytskyi for the fourth day in a row.

Slavuta Mayor Vasyl Sydo announced that "there is a lot of damage on the territory of the Slavuta community," assuring that all services — heat, gas, and water — will be provided to the community's residents. Schools and kindergartens will not work on October 25.

What we know about Russia's night attack on October 25

On Wednesday, the Russian forces attacked Ukraine with drones from several directions. The Ukrainian Air Force warned residents of the southern, central, and western regions about the threat of drones.

Late in the evening, a Russian drone, presumably of the Shahed type, was spotted on the border of the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.

As Rubryka reported, the Russian forces launched 11 Shahed kamikaze drones at several regions of the country; the Ukrainian air defense managed to down all enemy drones.
