Western Chernivtsi construction workers have rebuilt 24 houses in liberated Kherson
Western Chernivtsi builders have already rebuilt 24 houses in the liberated town of Zarichne, Ukraine-controlled Kherson region, as part of the Side by Side restoration project.
The "Side by Side" project supported the reconstruction, so these residential buildings have new windows and roofs. Their owners will meet this winter in their warm, renovated homes.
The construction is planned on site of 112 more war-affected houses in Zarichne. The weather is favorable now, so construction crews are actively working to ensure that the villagers can return home as soon as possible.
As of October 24, 2023, housing reconstruction is going on in 12 communities in the liberated Kherson region.
At least 102 villages and settlements will be restored with the "Side by Side" program. The project will later include communities that are currently on the front line, as well as the temporarily occupied left bank.
The "Side by Side" initiative is a large-scale project, where 15 Ukraine's regions are pledging to restore hundreds of houses in war-battered Kherson region, which suffered Russian occupation.
Russia's destruction of the Kakhovka dam will haunt the region's residents with various consequences. Rubryka collected many cases of possible scenarios to restore the ecosystem and the construction to speed up the region's restoration.
