Ukraine's intelligence states the current rate of mobilization of Russian citizens for the war equals than 20,000 new troops monthly.
Russia recruits prisoners, debtors and some unreliable citizens, suspected in various crimes, says Andrii Yusov, member of the intelligence.
The mobilization of conscripts continues as planned. Recruitment, including with the motivation of financial payment or, if a person does not sign a contract, some sanctions are promised, the intelligence officer
The Russian command widely practices "forced signing of contracts" with former military personnel.
As Yusov emphasized, "there is no need to talk about the motivation of these people in terms of ideology, in terms of 'love' for their homeland, especially when it comes to depressed regions."
Kremlin prefers covert mobilization and avoids massive involvement of the population of the European part of Russia in the fighting.
Russian economy is increasingly experiencing a shortage of men for other works.
The UK intelligence reported that Russia plans to recruit 420,000 soldiers by the end of this year, which will affect the workforce in various non-military sectors.
Due to major losses on the battlefield, the mass forced mobilization will begin in Russia and the occupied territories.
Russian Putin said that over the past six months, 270,000 people have voluntarily signed contracts with the Defense Ministry, and another 300,000 people have been drafted as part of the mobilization.
