Ukrainian hackers leak 30-mln client base of Russian Alpha Bank
Ukrainian KibOrg team, in cooperation with Security Service hackers, hacked the database of the Russian Alfa-Bank, which hosts 30 million clients.
The team leaked information about the client's name, date of birth, account and phone number, and other data, says one of the hackers to Rubryka.
The leak of Alfa-Bank's 30 million client database is yet another indication of the huge gaps in the security systems of Russian banks, said the source.
The hackers even personally called the bank's owner Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman to tell him the "good news" about the attack. They asked him if he wanted to speak out against the war in Ukraine. But for some reason, the oligarch was in a bad mood, and after a short conversation, he hung up.
Ukrainian hackers claimed to have broken into the email account of a senior Russian politician and exposed documents that allegedly prove his involvement in money laundering and sanction evasion schemes.
A group called Cyber Resistance leaked 11 GB of emails allegedly belonging to Alexander Babakov, a deputy chairman of Russia's parliament. Recorded Future News was not able to immediately corroborate the claim or verify the authenticity of the documents, but the leak contains scans of Babakov's passport, tax and financial documents, as well as his medical records.
