Seven in ten people worldwide want their governments to support Ukraine – GlobeScan survey

Almost seven in ten people globally say their government should support Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression, according to the GlobeScan survey.

Majorities in all 30 countries and territories surveyed, except Mexico, want their governments to support Ukraine.

Results show that 29% on average in the surveyed countries and territories "strongly agree" that their government should support Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression, while another 40% "somewhat agree."

Only 11% "strongly disagree," while 20% "somewhat disagree."

People in Portugal (86%), Sweden (81%), and Australia (80%) are the most supportive of Ukraine, followed by those in the UK (79%) and Canada (78%).

Mexicans are least likely to want their government to support Ukraine (46%), followed by Colombians (51%), Indonesians (54%), Saudis (55%), and Peruvians (55%).

The US and Germany, which are among Ukraine's key allies, have 70% and 66% of respondents, respectively, agree to continue supporting Ukraine.

These are truly impressive results. The GlobeScan survey has shown that Russian narratives are losing around the world, despite the huge efforts made by Kremlin.
