Ukrainian forces repel 20 Russian assaults near eastern Marinka – AFU General Staff
Ukrainian troops repelled more than 20 enemy attacks in the Kupiansk direction, while Russian invaders conducted assault operations with the support of aviation in the Mariinka sector, but they were unsuccessful, according to the AFU GenStaff.
The military command, during the day, the aviation struck one control point, 13 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and four strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed four reconnaissance drones at the operational and tactical levels.
The missile troops struck one control center, one control point, two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two TOS-1A "Solntsepek" heavy flamethrower multiple-launch rocket systems, and 13 enemy artillery pieces.
In total, the enemy launched eight missile and 48 air strikes, fired 24 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and at populated areas.
Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private houses, apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged, the press release says.
Ukrainian forces downed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Tauride sector. This is the fifth aircraft to be shot down in the Donetsk region in the last ten days.
As the situation on the frontline around eastern Avdiivka remains unease, humanitarian aid supplies to the city have been suspended, but the reserves will last for three months, says the head of the local administration Vitalii Barabash.
The supplies have previously included first aid kids, food, and gallons of water, however, it became hard to scrape through 22 kilometers to Avdiivka, being constantly shelled by Russian forces.
