Ukrainian veterans set strongman world record at Madrid Championship
A team of Ukrainian veterans set a world record in the strongman, pulling 4 trucks weighing 35 tons 20 meters in 30.69 seconds over a rope in a seated position.
The record took place at the Arnold Classic Europe international sports festival in Madrid, Ukrainian embassy reports.

The record-breaking team is the winner of the first all-Ukrainian round of adaptive sports competitions among veterans "Strong of Ukraine" and consists of 8 people who were severely injured during the fighting.
- Alexandra Meleshko took 3rd place in the women's 75 kg category;
- Yuriy Duvalo – 2nd place, under 95 kg category;
- Alexey Biryukov – 1st place in the men's 110 kg category;
- Andrii Koshubskyi – 2nd place in the men's 110 kg category;
- Anton Gritsenko – log lift for the maximum in the men's category up to 110 kg;
- Oleksandr Kapinos – 2nd place in the truck championship.
With this event, we want to show all veterans that despite severe injuries, it is possible to set world records. Therefore, we urge all veterans to rehabilitate through sports. Join us! said Oleksandr Shvachka, captain of the veterans' team.
