Russian shelling hits college dorm in Sloviansk, trapping two under rubble
On Tuesday night, the Russian forces attacked Sloviansk, Donetsk region, destroying a college dormitory and trapping people under the rubble.
There were two strikes in the city center, Rubryka reports, referring to Ukraine's Emergency Service and the city mayor.
Sloviansk Mayor Vadym Liakh said that the destroyed dormitory is the building of the agricultural college.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that two people were under the rubble.
"The enemy again insidiously struck a residential building in the city of Sloviansk. The shelling destroyed the 5-story dormitory building," the rescuers said. "First responders are working at the scene. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing."
The Russian forces continue shelling the front-line cities in Ukraine's east and south. Explosions rang out in the southern city of Kherson on Tuesday morning, The Russian army also shelled Prydniprovske and Zimivnyk in the Kherson region with artillery.
Also, the Russians launched Shahed drones to attack the country. Debris from downed aerial threats fell in the yacht club area in Odesa, damaging a sailing school and civilian boats.
Rubryka reported that the Russian forces attacked Ukraine with a guided air missile, 6 Shahed drones, and S-300 missiles. The air defense destroyed the Kh-59 missile and all drones.
Ukrainian forces destroyed Russian helicopters and equipment at airfields near the occupied Berdiansk and Luhansk.
