Russia establishing new spy network in Ukraine – top defense official Danilov

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said Russia was actively attempting to form a new agent network for internal division in Ukraine.

"Currently, according to all indications, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is making active attempts to form a new agent network, placing far-reaching hopes on it. In the future, we are discussing deploying a political project aimed at the remnants of the pro-Russian population. In parallel with this, an informational intervention is being carried out to shake the internal Ukrainian destabilization process. Signs of such activity are the sharp activation of various "experts," "intelligence actors," and other types of swindlers in promoting the same Russian agenda in Russian. They are the ones who, at this moment, cry about the "failure" of the counteroffensive, hint at the need to review the goals of the war (and this is no longer a return to the borders of 1991), give out advice on how Ukraine's armed forces should fight, give out false insiders about "conflicts" among the military and political leadership, call accept "good Russians" and in the end hint that it is necessary to negotiate with Russia," Danilov wrote on Facebook.

According to him, Ukrainian law enforcement officers "carefully monitor manifestations of similar hostile actions, identifying and stopping them."

"Thanks to the active activity of the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, the most extensive purge of the Russian agents was carried out in recent years. But Russia will continue to try to grow several new ones in the place of one severed head," says the NSDC secretary.

He urged Ukrainians to demonstrate "informational neatness."

"Ukrainians, in their turn, should show a high degree of information neatness so as not to be contaminated by the products of Russian informational 'life' activities," Danilov added.
