Ukraine has provided its farmers with loans worth $1.65 billion

Since the beginning of 2023, 11,500 Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have received ₴59.3 billion ($1.63 billion) in bank loans for the development of farms.

Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported that 8,900 enterprises have been financed by ₴34.2 billion ($940 million) under the "Affordable 5-7-9 Loans" program.

According to the ministry, the largest amount of loans under various programs was received by farmers in Kyiv (₴11.5 billion for 842 enterprises), Vinnytsia (₴5.4 billion for 1,312), Dnipropetrovsk (₴5.3 billion hryvnias for 746), Kirovohrad (₴4.5 billion for 1,566), and Odesa (₴4.1 billion for 1,028) regions.

 

Under the "Affordable 5-7-9 Loans" program, 1,255 farms in the Kirovohrad region received ₴3.86 billion, and 1,009 farms in the Vinnytsia region got  ₴3.53 billion. ₴3.43 billion was allocated to 830 businesses in the Odesa region, and  ₴3.23 billion was directed to 683 farms in the Kyiv region.

At the beginning of 2023, governmental and non-governmental mine operators surveyed more than 200,000 hectares of agricultural land designated for priority demining; 120,000 hectares are already used by farmers.
