Ukraine's government allocates UAH 62 billion for post-war recovery programs – PM
The Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression has allocated 62.3 billion hryvnias for various recovery programs. Of this amount, nearly 1.7 billion hryvnias have explicitly been designated for the Sumy region and UAH 673 million for the Chernihiv region.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this during a meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, which was devoted to the issues of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
According to the prime minister, the joint priorities of the central government, regions, and communities are now the completion of preparations for winter, the start and successful completion of the heating season, restoration, and provision of the social component.
"From the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, 62.3 billion hryvnias were allocated for various recovery programs. Of these, almost 1.7 billion are earmarked for the Sumy region, 673 million for the Chernihiv region," Shmyhal noted.
Regional military authorities have reported a high level of preparedness for the upcoming heating season, with the Chernihiv region reaching 99.5% and the Sumy region at 99.1%.
Shmyhal also emphasized that work continues on deploying the network of Points of Invincibility. Three hundred thirty were created in the Chernihiv region and 541 in the Sumy region.
