United to win: Germany delivers new military aid package to Ukraine
Germany delivered a new military aid package to help the Ukrainian armed forces counter the Russian aggression against their country.
Rubryka reports, referring to the website of the German government, that the aid includes four multipurpose tracked all-terrain vehicles Bandvagn 206 (BV206), four cars for border guards, two HX81 tank tractors, two trailers for tanks, 50 drone detection systems, 82 SatCom satellite communication terminals, 100,000 first-aid kits, and 27,477 backpacks.
Rubryka previously reported that as part of another aid package, Germany plans to transfer ten Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine in the coming days. The winter package will also have additional Patriot and IRIS-T air defense systems and three Gepard anti-aircraft guns.
Germany also handed Ukraine a military aid package in early October to fight against Russian aggression. It included safety glasses, satellite communication terminals, and tank tractors.
In September, Ukraine received a new batch of German military aid, including 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, two Wisent 1 demining tanks, reconnaissance drones, UAV detection systems, and 155 mm artillery ammunition.
Germany transferred approximately €5.4 billion in aid to Ukraine this year, after €2 billion last year. This funding is primarily aimed at military support, while they are also used to finance the replacement of military equipment transferred to Ukraine from Bundeswehr stocks, as well as German contributions to the European Peace Fund (EPF), which, in turn, can be used to reimburse EU member states.
