Ukraine's intelligence operations target critical military production facilities in Russia

The special operations by the Ukrainian defense intelligence against the Russian military-industrial complex mainly target enterprises of critical importance.

Intel spokesperson, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, said in an interview with the Ukrainian Pravda that the Ukrainian officers are trying to strike "productions unique in their kind."

"If you hit a facility producing a component manufactured only at this enterprise, you reduce the speed of weapons production or stop its production altogether," the general said.

According to Skibitskyi, the defense intelligence uses its own methods to determine the most critical facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex and disables them not only by drone strikes but also by "other ways."

On October 1, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian Smolensk Aviation Plant, producing Kh-59 guided cruise missiles. Three out of four drones hit the target. Another drone attack on that day struck the helipad at the Sochi airport.

What we know about special operations of Ukraine's intelligence

In late September 30, the Ukrainian defense intelligence conducted a special operation called "Barinya" and recruited the Russian military.

In late August, the Russian Mi-8 helicopter was brought to Ukraine as part of a long-term special operation by Ukraine's intelligence.

The Ukraine-recruited Russian pilot entered the Ukrainian territory on the Mi-8 along with parts for the fighter jets he was supposed to deliver to the Russian forces, fighting in Ukraine. The pilot's family was taken out of Russia in advance for safety and now resides in Ukraine.

After that, Ukrainian intelligence reported that the number of Russian soldiers who wanted to surrender to Ukraine as prisoners increased by 70%.

Also, Ukrainian special forces established control over the "Boiko towers" — Ukrainian oil rigs in the Black Sea that Russians forces used to occupy and use for military needs.

On Ukraine's Independence Day, Ukrainian spies landed on the territory of occupied Crimea for a special operation, destroying the Russian equipment and hoisting the flag of Ukraine.
