Russian forces destroy gymnasium in Nikopol, killing three teachers
Russian troops shelled a gymnasium in Nikopol in the southern Dnipropetrovsk region. Two employees of the school were killed in the attack.
Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko shares the attack's aftermath on his Telegram.
The shelling destroyed a gymnasium. Two people were killed. Rescuers are still looking for people under the rubble. The victims were employees of the educational institution, Klymenko reported.
The head of the local military administration Serhii Lysak says the injured were aged 24 and 71. Later, rescuers reported another citizen dead, assuming one more gymnasium worker might be stuck under remnants.
The building itself was severely damaged. 42 private houses and 18 outbuildings were also affected. The shelling also hit an infrastructure facility, 17 solar panels, a shop, and a car, Lysak said.
