Russia launches Iskander missile attack on Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, injuring four, including 9-year-old child

In the Donetsk region, the Russian invaders fired at Kostiantynivka from the Iskander operational-tactical missile weapons, as a result of which four people were injured: among the wounded was a 9-year-old child.

The prosecutor's office of the Donetsk region and the head of the Kostyantynivska City Military Administration, Oleksiy Roslov, reported that.

As the law enforcement officers noted, on October 8 at 06:25, the Russian army shelled Kostyantynivka, probably using an Iskander cruise missile.

The prosecutor's office reported that Russian troops targeted a residential building. Four residents were injured in the explosion:

• 9-year-old girl;
• her 44-year-old mother;
• 64-year-old woman;
• and her 41-year-old son.

The wounded were diagnosed with bruises, shrapnel injuries, and concussion. At the time of the attack, people were in their own private houses, near which a Russian rocket hit.

Paramedics on the spot gave them first aid and took them to the hospital.

In his turn, Roslov also reported on the firing of the "Iskander" cruise missile.

"Currently, we know about four wounded people; one of them is a child born in 2014," said Roslov.

The head of the city military administration also noted that the following were damaged as a result of the shelling:

• Ten high-rise buildings;
• 19 private houses;
• gas pipeline;
• power grid;

It should be noted that the Russian occupiers open fire on the cities and villages of the Donetsk region every day. Front-line settlements in the region, and even those in the relative rear, are constantly under attack.

As the acting head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Ihor Moroz wrote that on October 7, a civilian died in Dronivka due to shelling by Russian terrorists.

"The total number of victims in the region since the beginning of the full-scale war is indicated without considering Mariupol and Volnovakha," Moroz added.

• On the Volnovakha front, the Russians shelled Vuhledar — luckily, without casualties.
• In the evening, on the front of Horlivka, the enemy shelled New York — 4 houses were damaged. One more house was destroyed in the Chasiv Yar community.
• On the Lysychansk front, one person died in Dronivka, Siverska community. The enemy fired seven times on Torske and Zarychne of the Lyman community — without casualties.
