Russian forces bring decommissioned Soviet howitzers from Crimea to frontline – ATESH partisan movement
The Crimea-based ATESH partisan movement shows footage of Russian forces using decommissioned howitzers on the frontline.
This old equipment is probably used to reinforce the positions in the Zaporizhzhia region, the movement reports.
Our agent in occupied Hvardiyske discovered the transfer of Soviet D-20 (2A33) howitzers that had just been removed from conservation, the statement said.
Russian forces have been moving more weapons along the route from Dzhankoi airport to the Zaporizhzhia region more frequently over the past two weeks. Partisans believe this is reasoned by local hospitals being full of wounded soldiers.
It is the D-20 (152mm) howitzer in its D-22 modification that is used on the 2S3 Acacia self-propelled artillery systems, which have become a quickly disposed weapon, the statement added.
Earlier, agents of the Atesh partisan movement discovered a secret military depot of Russian troops near the temporarily occupied Simferopol. It was set up in an abandoned vegetable warehouse in a rock.
