Russian strike killed 15% of Hroza town population in Kharkiv region – interior ministry

Russian missile attack on Hroza in the Kupiansk district killed 51 civilians, while 58 residents have been removed from the rubble, Ukraine's Interior Ministry reports.
Minister Ihor Klymenko stated that Russian forces used Iskander ballistic missiles to hit the cafe, where the funeral ceremony was held, and most citizens joined to honor the memory.
One of the wounded from the shelling died in hospital, which raised the death toll to 51 civilians, including a six-year-old child. Seven more people were injured, including one child.

Law enforcement officers have already identified 29 bodies and sent the rest to expert institutions in Kharkiv.
Located 100 kilometers from Russia's border, Hroza town was home to 330 people during the full-scale war. No soldiers were living there during the attack. The casualty rate is 15% of the village's current population.

Klymenko said that 60 local residents were in the store at the time of the attack.
Volodymyr Tymoshko, the head of the Kharkiv regional police, said that there were no soldiers in the store cafe at the time of the attack.
The minister noted that the Russian attack was precise, as it was a small building to hit. The police believe someone from local authorities or a Russian-appointed proxy was responsible for the attack. Ukraine's Security Service is following his trails.
Olena Shapoval, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, claims the attack on Hroza was the most murderous in the Kharkiv region since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky called the Russian crime an absolutely deliberate terrorist attack. He expressed his condolences to all those who lost their loved ones.
Russian terror must be stopped. Anyone who helps Russia circumvent sanctions is a criminal. Everyone who still supports Russia is supporting evil. Russia needs this and similar terrorist attacks for one thing only: to make its genocidal aggression the new normal for the whole world. And I thank every leader, every nation that supports us in protecting life.
