Family of four trapped under rubble of their house destroyed in Russian attack on Donetsk region
On the night of October 1, Russian forces launched three ballistic missiles from Belgorod on Ukraine's Kharkiv, causing no casualties.
In the morning, the enemy forces also struck a house near Druzhkivka, the town of the frontline Donetsk region, leaving the family of four civilians trapped in the debris of their own house, authorities report.
The S-300 ballistic missile injured four citizens, including a 40-year-old man, his 36-year-old wife, a 16-year-old son and a 57-year-old grandmother.
A neighbor, a local rescue service employee, pulled the wounded out of the rubble of the destroyed house.
Russian shelling damaged 15 civilian houses, placed not even close to Ukraine's military objects.
On the same night, the Russian forces continued to shell Ukraine's south with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, launching 30 targets. The air defense managed to shoot down 16 of them.
