Ukraine's "Army of Drones" initiative sends 1,700 more combat UAVs to soldiers

Ukraine's "Army of Drones" initiative sends 1,700 more drones to combat operators in Ukrainian forces on the frontline, says the digital minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

The drones include Vampire, FPV Phoenix, high-speed Penguin, Avenger, Mavic and Matrice models.

"We are also sending "secret drones" that have already shown results on the battlefield. Soon the occupiers will experience our work, and you will learn about it from the news.

The drones will help Ukrainian forces conduct reconnaissance, destroy enemy equipment and save the lives of our soldiers. Last month alone, operators hit 780 pieces of Russian equipment. More to come.

We continue to provide drones to all frontline areas and scale up production of Ukrainian birds, the statement says.

In July 2022, Ukraine's Digital Ministry, along with the AFU General Staff and the UNITED24 platform, started a drone army for the Ukrainian military. This comprehensive program includes the systematic purchase of drones, their repair, and training courses for operators. The initiative has already trained 3,000 drone operators.

To help Ukrainian forces, one must join the fundraiser by simply transferring money through the UNITED24 platform or donating one very own drone.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Railways company has raised over a million hryvnias for purchasing Hrim (Thunder) FPV drones.
