United to win: Norway allocates additional $92 mln of financial aid to Ukraine
Norway will provide an additional NOK 1 billion ($92.5 million) to give Ukrainians access to protection and vital aid.
Rubryka reports this, referring to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Anniken Huitfeldt.
"Ukraine's civilian population has suffered greatly as a result of Russia's brutal war. The efforts of the Ukrainian people to deal with daily attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure have been heroic. They need our help to make it through another winter of war," the statement said.
Huitfeldt discussed this topic at the opening of the third meeting of senior officials on humanitarian issues regarding Ukraine in Oslo.
The main focus of the meeting was on the difficult humanitarian situation created by the war in Ukraine, as well as the consideration of ways to provide the necessary assistance to the civilian population at the right time.
The meeting will also discuss how to implement suitable solutions to transition from short-term humanitarian aid to long-term recovery efforts.
