United to win: Britain hands Ukraine equipment for demining and disposal of explosive objects

Great Britain provided Ukraine with over 1,500 sets of equipment for demining and disposing of explosive objects.
This is reported in the press release of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, Rubryka writes.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the equipment and training of the Ukrainian military was provided to improve Ukraine's ability to defuse mines.
"This has included over 1,500 sets of both vehicle-mounted and 'on-the person' mine clearing and explosive ordnance disposal equipment, including necessary training," the press release said.
In addition, sappers of the Royal Corps of Engineers conducted training for the Ukrainian military on the disposal of mines, ammunition, and other explosive devices used on the territory of Ukraine.
This detailed and specialized package trains Ukrainian soldiers in munitions recognition, disposal methods, and search procedures to counter improvised explosive devices, mines, booby traps, and anti-personnel devices.
The training includes instruction in preparing a threat report, planning a demining operation, and practical training in clearing large areas of land, trench systems, bunkers, and civilian buildings.
Soldiers use metal detectors and mine removal kits and learn how to adapt existing equipment to the front line. The report says the Ukrainian military also received training on the equipment provided by Great Britain, particularly on VALLON detectors.
