Charity cycling tour to be hosted in Kyiv to raise funds for combat drones

On September 24, the "Winged Bike March" will be held in Kyiv to support the Ukrainian forces.

The run will raise funds for combat drones and have several trainings on mine safety and arts.

What is the problem?

Sociologists state Ukrainians started donating less to troops due to worsening of life conditions in wartime. An average citizen donates around $40 per month.

More than half of the respondents (56.8%) say that their spending has increased significantly. At the same time, the share of those who have reduced savings has also increased. Less than 40% of respondents said they had a financial reserve for six months or more.

Ukrainians do not save on groceries (45%), medicine (42%), or utility bills (31%). The majority, 61.7%, have become more supportive of Ukrainian brands.

As for donations, the older the respondent, the lower the amount of their donations (especially among Ukrainians over 50). Young people are ready to give the most, as over 90 % donated to Ukrainian forces.

Charitable organizations and volunteers do not stop raising funds, using various creative solutions to encourage people not to forget about the war and the much-needed help for our brave and desperate military.

What is the solution?

On September 24, the Winged Bike March will take place in Kyiv, supporting the Ukrainian forces, as the charity organizations raise funds for drones, such as three Mavic 3Ts and an Autel EVO Max 4T.

How does it work?

To take part in the tour, one must register and transfer a charitable contribution of 15 dollars to the account of the Gurkit Charitable Foundation.

Arrive on Sunday, September 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Kontraktova Square in Kyiv to the Skovoroda monument. Participants have to get their number and water at the run's start. The distance they have to complete is 10 kilometers.

Participants can ride their own bike, electric scooter, or unicycle or rent a bike at one of the BikeNow stations in Kyiv.

Participants have to bring their own flag of Ukraine. At the finish line in Muromets Park, all cyclers of the Winged Bike March will receive a military souvenir to commemorate the event.

The march can be joined online from anywhere in the world. The participant chooses the place, time, and comfortable distance. When registering, he needs to indicate that he is participating online.

After crossing the finish line, participants can join a weaving paracord keychains class and knotting or a volleyball tournament for a donation of 7 dollars. There will also be board games and mine safety classes.
