Solutions to win: Ukrainian border guards receive 120 thermal imagers worth ₴10 mln from donors
The charitable foundation Return Alive handed over 120 thermal imagers to border guards.
As Rubryka writes, the State Border Service reported this on Telegram.
What is the problem?
The main task of the thermal imager is non-contact measurement of the temperature of living and inanimate objects, searching for people, etc.
The military thermal imager is also the "eyes" of the Armed Forces at night. With the help of these devices, the military can timely "see" the enemy in poor visibility and fight saboteurs in populated areas when it is practically impossible to see due to the lack of lighting. It is able to record the smallest change in temperature.
Modern thermal imagers can determine the temperature range from 50 to 2000 °C.
Using a thermal imager in the conditions of a positional war is also relevant when most losses occur due to enemy sniper fire. Thanks to thermal imaging, it is possible to record the enemy's actions from secret positions and thus minimize casualties among the Armed Forces service members. Thermal imagers help to detect masked persons and small silhouettes that are almost impossible to distinguish by the "eye" (for example, when only the head is visible in an enemy trench).
Thermal imaging sights for gunners and snipers help to ensure higher efficiency of shooting at medium distances regardless of the time of day. That is, these devices are actively used both offensively and during defense.
What is the solution?
The Charitable Foundation Return Alive handed over 120 thermal imagers worth about ₴10 million to the border guards.
How does it work?
"Disguise will no longer help the invaders. They will be seen by reconnaissance and assault groups of the State Border Guard Service at night and dusk. The functions of bispectral thermal imagers with the AGM Fuzion LRF laser rangefinder will allow you to adjust fire precisely on enemy targets," the message reads.
In general, since the beginning of 2023, the Return Alive fund has handed over equipment worth ₴28 million 870 thousand 418 to the border guards.
As reported by Rubryka, the Come Back Alive fund has completed fundraising for the Long Arms of Territorial Defense project, during which ₴333 million were collected.
In addition, the Return Alive fund handed over the first 82-mm mortars to the ground defense brigades, and they are already destroying the Russian occupiers at the front.
In general, in support of the summer offensive campaign of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Fund for Competent Assistance of the Army Return Alive invested significant funds. More than ₴2 billion were spent on this, which people and businesses transferred to the general accounts of the organization.
