On the night of September 20, Russian troops launched a full-fledged drone attack on Ukraine, attacking an oil refinery in eastern Kremenchuk, Poltava region, says the head of the local military administration Dmytro Lunin.

The enemy forces attacked the region several times, exhausting air defense forces.

There was a hit to the oil refinery in Kremenchuk, causing a fire. All relevant services are working at the site. The plant's operations have been temporarily suspended, Lunin emphasized.

On the night of September 20, Russian forces launched several groups of attack drones at Ukraine from different directions. Air alerts were announced in the country's north, east, and south, as well as in Kyiv.

During the full-scale war, especially in the first half of 2022, the occupation forces carried out dozens of attacks on oil depots and refineries in Ukraine.

The Kremenchuk Oil Refinery is Ukraine's largest petroleum product manufacturing facility. The enemy has attacked it at least four times, the last one in June last year.

The caused damage would disable its operations until the end of the year.

On August 10, the occupiers attacked an oil depot in the Rivne region with drones.

On September 19, a Russian drone strike on Lviv, which resulted in hits on warehouses and fires, destroyed 300 tons of UN humanitarian aid.
