Ukraine has returned over 1800 fallen soldiers since start of all-out war
The Ukrainian side managed to repatriate the bodies of 51 deceased defenders to the government-controlled territory, reports Coordination Headquarters for POW.
Over two years of an intense search for fallen soldiers, Ukraine returned 1,832 bodies of its troops.
Both Russia and Ukraine regularly bring back their soldiers killed in action. Previously, such an "exchange" took place in early August, when Ukraine returned the bodies of 44 fallen fighters.
The head of the Coordination Headquarters Yurii Taraniuk, said that Russia transfers those Ukrainian soldiers, who were recognized war prisoners. However, the side didn't provide the organization with reports of health issues or any serious condition, which caused death. Taraniuk notes such an attitude is a sign of a low-qualified medical commission, backed by Kremlin forces.
At the end of August this year, the Ukrainian side returned 84 servicemen, who were killed in action on held captive in Russia-occupied territories.
