Russian drones attack western regions of Ukraine

On Friday night, an air raid warning was announced in several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of the Russian drone attack. Explosions rang out in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions.

Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that explosions rocked Ukraine's western regions. The drone attack was first reported in the central Vinnytsia region, followed by reports from farther rear areas.

Serhii Tiurin, the first deputy head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, confirmed the explosions and said that the Air Defense Forces were activated in the region.

Russian troops launched several groups of attack drones from the southeast over the territory of Ukraine. The Air Force first warned southern Mykolaiv and Kherson regions about the possible Russian drone attack. Later, the danger was reported in the central Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions.

At 5:02 a.m., the threat of Russian strike drones was announced in the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions. At 5:33 a.m., it became known that a group of Russian attack UAVs was in the airspace of Vinnytsia and was moving in a north-western direction.

At 5:53 a.m., the threat was announced in the Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions. At 6:26 a.m., the attack drones reached the western Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Rivne regions. Around 7:00 a.m., air defense began to operate in the Khmelnytskyi region.

Rubryka reported that on the night of September 14, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down three Russian drones in the sky over the Dnipropetrovsk region, the fragments of the downed Shahed UAVs partially destroyed a private house, and another six were damaged.

Also, on the night of September 13, the Russian invaders once again attacked the Danube port infrastructure of Odesa with drones, injuring seven truck drivers.
