Canadian forces use special sound effects to train Ukrainian combat medics act in stressful situations
The Canadian forces showed how Ukrainian military medics are trained to act in stressful situations, following the Canadian training mission UNIFIER.
What is the problem?
Combat medics are an equal soldier on the frontline who performs additional tasks, such as first aid assistance and evacuation.
In most cases, Ukrainian training of combat medics usually takes place in a quiet environment. The medics do not get used to the shelling and explosions that are usually heard on the front line.
What is the solution?
The Canadian Defense Ministry has decided to bring the conditions as close as possible to military conditions during the training of Ukrainian combat medics.
How does it work?
Canadian forces show the video on how learning takes place with special sound effects and visuals.

"Bringing sights, sounds, and a sense of urgency enhances the effectiveness of the combat medical training that Canadian forces medics provide to the Ukrainian Armed Forces during Operation UNIFIER," the statement said.
As part of Operation UNIFIER, Canadian military personnel have reportedly trained 37,000 Ukrainian soldiers since 2015.
After the start of the full-scale Russian war, Canadian instructors left Ukraine, but a few months later, training resumed in the UK, Poland, and Latvia.
Canada has increased its military support for Ukraine. In early July, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a new package of support for Ukraine and the strengthening of transatlantic security, which includes cameras for drones.
