Night attack damages Russian landing ship and submarine in occupied Sevastopol
On Wednesday night, powerful explosions rocked occupied Sevastopol in Crimea. Occupying "authorities" confirmed a fire at a ship repair plant in the Kilen-balka area, and the Russian defense ministry reported the damage to two ships.
According to local Telegram channels, the Russian defense ministry, and the so-called "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, there were at least seven explosions and flashes in the sky.
The Russian defense department said that ten cruise missiles struck the ship repair plant in Sevastopol. They added, "Three unmanned boats attacked a group of ships of the Black Sea Fleet on a sea crossing."
RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in Ukrainian intelligence, and OSINT researcher M.T. Anderson reported that on the night of September 13, the attack on the occupied Sevastopol damaged a large Russian amphibious ship and a submarine.
According to Anderson, as of the morning of September 12, other key vessels of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were also in the city port: Buyan-M and Admiral Makarov.

In turn, Ukrainian intelligence also confirmed the strike on an amphibious ship and a submarine.
"There is damage to the Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant in the city of Sevastopol, including equipment," said the intelligence. "If we talk about watercraft, then we can now confirm the damage to a large landing ship and a submarine."
The Russian Telegram channel SHOT reports that the Rostov-on-Don diesel-electric submarine and the Minsk amphibious assault ship were damaged.
The Russian publication "Agentstvo" also reports that the blow was inflicted on the future Russian center for maritime drone production.
The Sevastopol Marine Plant, which is the main repair plant of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was supposed to resume the construction of new ships in 2024. Also, the occupation authorities discussed the possibility of turning the plant into a center to develop unmanned surface and underwater vehicles.
According to Russian media, two people died, and 26 were injured due to a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Sevastopol Marine Plant. All of them are factory employees.
