Residents in Russian-occupied territories oppose pseudo-elections − Ukraine's intelligence

In the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine, the Russians are struggling to faithfully replicate the electoral process due to the opposition of the resident populace.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, emphasized this during a press conference on the situation at TOT.

"Of course, this procedure has nothing to do with elections. Even if we talk about the imitation of the election process, it is also absent. The propagandists themselves understand this; it is also clear on the territory of the Russian Federation. Especially in conditions of total resistance of the local population –  passively and actively," said Yusov.

He states that the Ukrainian Defense Forces primarily rely on the local population for information regarding the activities and whereabouts of the adversary, including movements, presence, personnel, and resources.

"A huge number of measures and operations, which are implemented, are carried out by the local population and resistance movement. In such conditions, the occupiers feel unsafe, including the imported participants of the so-called "election process." All they can do is write down some numbers on paper. No more," added the intelligence representative.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense receives much information from residents of the temporarily occupied territories about Russia's organization of fake elections, Yusov noted.

"Information is actively coming in; it has already been used, and it has been used. Some of the names of collaborators, traitors, and occupiers involved in these pseudo-elections have already been worked out, and some have been eliminated. On the other part, work is being done in their interests to bring them to justice and voluntarily surrender to the Ukrainian law enforcement officers," said Yusov.

He added that much information is received from the Ukrainian population of the temporarily occupied territories, and many resources are needed to process it.

"Enemy special services are trying to use this information to use certain game elements. This is also working out, and there are certain safeguards against this. But the active position of the Ukrainian population in the occupied territory is a great help to the Ukrainian security and defense forces," said the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Yusov also reported that among the occupiers, there are examples of mental disorders due to panic and fear of the Ukrainian security and defense forces:

"There are nervous breakdowns. This mainly concerns civilians who were brought from the territory of the Russian Federation. People are afraid of strikes by Ukrainian drones. In principle, everything is good in this respect."

Accordingly, Yusov emphasized that it is essential that the free media convey to the whole world the whole essence and genocidal nature of the actions of the occupation authorities on the TOT.

For reference:

It should be noted that so-called "elections" of various levels will be held on the territory of Russia on September 10, including by-elections of State Duma deputies, elections of heads of several regions, and deputies of legislative bodies. However, the Kremlin wants to hold a pseudo-vote in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to the head of the Central Election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, who organizes pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine. The Security Service's law enforcement officers also exposed 15 collaborators preparing new "elections" in the Luhansk region.

Moreover, at the end of May in Russia, changes were made to the law, which, in particular, allows elections to be held in the occupied territories.

According to the Security Service spokesman Artem Dekhtiarenko, the Ukrainian special service has established the identities of more than 3,500 collaborators and their Russian "curators" who participate in the organization of illegal voting, as well as "candidates" in these pseudo-elections.

At the same time, according to Dekhtiarenko, explosions took place at the so-called "polling station" in the temporarily occupied city of Kamianka-Dniprovsk, Zaporizhzhia region, and on the territory of the municipal lyceum in Berdiansk, after which the number of people who wanted to vote decreased.

In addition, in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, partisans blew up a car belonging to the occupiers, who were transporting "ballots."
